Spandex Beanbag

Material:
Cover made of spandex. Filling consists of foamed polystyrene beads.

To wash:
Remove cover. Machine wash cover on gentle cycle or hand wash using detergent.

To dry:
Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat. Heat damages spandex threads.

To replace cover:
Ensure that the zipper of the pillow is opposite to the zipper of the cover. Place the zipper side of the pillow into the cover first. The pillow will then lie more smoothly and there will be less chance that the zippers will accidentally open.

To add or remove pellets:
Can be added or removed through zipper opening on pillow.

Weighted Blanket

Handling:
The weighted blanket consists of an insert and a removable cover. When handling the weighted blanket, do not pull just the cover — pull the entire cover and insert. If only the cover is pulled, the ties attaching the cover to the insert may tear.

Insert

Material:
Water-resistant nylon covering. Wool interior.

To wash:
Untie interior ties and remove insert. Wipe water-resistant insert with damp cloth. Machine washing is not recommended.

To dry:
Wipe with dry cloth or air dry.

Cover

Material:
Denim – cotton.
Fleece – polyester.
Quilted top – varies depending on the fabric used in the pieces.

To wash:
Untie interior ties and remove insert. Machine wash cover on gentle cycle or hand wash using detergent. Use warm or cold water to maintain colour brightness.

To dry:
Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat. To prevent wrinkling, remove from dryer when slightly damp.

To attach cover to insert:
Turn cover inside out. Lay cover flat with tie side up. Place insert on cover and tie the insert ties to the matching cover ties. Do not need to double knot. Reaching through the open zipper, grab the farthest corner (if using one hand) or two corners (if using two hands), and pull right-side out. Grab both the insert and the cover or the ties may tear. Shake gently until cover is completely right-side out. Close zipper.

Weighted Lap Pad (Heatable)

Insert

Material:
Water-resistant nylon covering. Rice interior.

To wash:
Wipe water-resistant insert with damp cloth.

To dry:
Wipe with dry cloth or air dry.

Cover

Material:
Polyester.

To wash:
Remove weight. Match all hook and loop tape so hook side is covered. Machine wash on gentle cycle or hand wash using detergent.

To dry:
Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat. To prevent wrinkling, remove from dryer when slightly damp.

Heating and Cooling

To heat:
Remove insert from cover. (Do not leave cover on because it will be too difficult to test the temperature of the insert.) Place insert on a clean plate (insert cannot be washed so keep as clean as possible). Place in microwave oven. Heat for 2 to 3 minutes — stop the microwave once or twice during the heating process to shake the insert. At the end of the 2 to 3 minutes, check temperature and shake insert. If required, continue to heat for 1 to 2 minutes more, again checking temperature and shaking insert as required. Place insert back into cover.
Caution: If overheated, hot spots can occur. Letting the insert overheat in the microwave or repeatedly heating the insert within a short time frame can cause damage to the product or to the person using the product.

To cool:
Store in a freezer.

Weighted Lap Pad (No-Heat)

Insert

Material:
Water-resistant nylon covering. Steel shot interior.

To wash:
Wipe water-resistant insert with damp cloth.

To dry:
Wipe with dry cloth or air dry.

Cover

Material:
Polyester.

To wash:
Remove weight. Match all hook and loop tape so hook side is covered. Machine wash on gentle cycle or hand wash using detergent.

Insert

Material:

Placing Weights in Pockets

Inside the weighted vest are 12 pockets. All pocket openings are located in the lining of the vest. Pocket openings are 7 cm (3 in). Weights should be carefully manipulated to fit through openings. Do not increase opening size when removing weights because the widened openings may, with movement, allow the weights to fall out.
Neckline pockets — enter neckline pockets through inside shoulder seam. Curved end of weight should sit in centre front or centre back area.
Chestline pockets — enter through 4 openings along inside seam in the chest area in front and shoulder blade area in back.
Hemline pockets — enter through 4 openings along inside seam at waistline in both front and back.
